How to draw pouncing cats

Want to see how I sketch dynamic cat poses?

Hello,

Today I’m sharing a replay from last Friday’s Substack Live.

This time, I decided to use my iPad and show you how I draw cats in dynamic poses. Recently, I had to create a bunch of illustrations with a very energetic cat for my portfolio, which led me to do some cats in movement studies. So I thought: why not share how I do these studies with you?

You can watch all the previous replays here!

In the session, I talk a bit about the almighty line of action, how I simplify animal bodies into shapes, and how endlessly amazed I am by cats’ ability to stretch across time and space.

Enjoy the replay, and let me know in the comments what you’d like me to draw next!

Until next time,
